Radicalization in Islamic Perspective

Hypothetically, radicalization is a term which is supposed to be widely misused by several reasons. It is defined as the process of supporting or engaging in the activities that are considered as unlawful as violation of social norms (e.g. killing civilians) and breaking down of well social conduct(e.g. Destabilizing existing government). By these references, radicalization raises grave concerns and constant threats to the security of globe. My attempt is to perceive this sort of danger through the specks of Islam by insisting its perspective as it speaks genuinely moderate in proportion of other religions along with the assertions of philosophy and psychology. That’s why Islam positioned itself in the stance of wasatiya in its own discourses around power and its application. At first, it could be helpful to clarify the term ‘radicalization’ and what does it mean or imply in clear manner. Undoubtedly it implies a movement that instigates to engage in either supporting or enacting extreme behaviors which are drawn by psychological components. After 9/11 issue, world’s political ambiences randomly or more-than-enough are undertaken by the discourses of terrorism. As studies held about radicalization and radical outfits deliver “terrorism constitutes one of the most serious violations of the universal values of human dignity, liberty, equality, solidarity, respect for human rights and fundamental freedom which world had been familiar on”. This research is designed to provide information about social psychological factors which play a role in the process of radicalization. Furthermore, it extends how can be positively radicalized or to prevent lion share threats it regularly poses. Alarmingly, the term ‘radicalization’ obviously mirrored towards radical outfits produced by Islamic ideology as a result of the cycle of violence held from 9/11 to the recent Paris attack. The research at a small measure deals over psychological components that contribute degrees of radicalization, pathway to radicalization and political and ideological underpinnings of radicalization.

This problem seeks relevance when it is itself a pack of confusion in the perspective of Islam. Discussed areas of this problem don’t connect with Islamic perspective or Islam’s position in radical philosophy. According to applied criminology there are many solutions to this process.  But when terrorism and radicalization become identical stamps on Islam, Islam also had to advocate its perspective by delivering substantial and adequate solution to this regard. Furthermore, this term needs a conceptual clarification before it be undertaken to a detail- edged study. Such conceptual frameworks are made by some sort of criteria which are propounded by western philosophers and based on the degrees they calculated or hypothetically put by analyzing the numbers of attacks held across the world by specific social, cultural, geographical and demographical ingredients that played in it. So this researcher takes the problem from the position of Islam itself
